crazy neighbours
It is 10pm and I am being umm.. serenaded? by a karaoke version of "Obladiblada". Oh, no, now we're back to a second round of "Hooked on a Feeling". I have a funny feeling that none of the performers will ever appear on the hugely popular "Australian Idol". The party is being held in the backyard which happens to be a few feet away from my bedroom. Crazy Ozzies.
Anyhow. Hmm what's new. Last weekend I was in Brisbane for 4 days! It was fantastic to see Mark and Heather's familiar faces. The weekend was filled with random wanderings, catamaraning down the river, my first ever koala sighting, tasty desserts, a little bushwalking, a visit with my Critical Mass friend Christine, and missing a visit to the planetarium because the transit system was shutdown by a hoax terror threat among other things. There are a few pictures in my gallery here.
Last weekend I had my finest disc golf round so far and talked with fellow Canadian Kris Demeanor after a very entertaining concert. Did I already write about that? I have a feeling I did. Or not. Hmm.
Ooh also on Tuesday at "Thai Cookery" I was very impressed with my phad thai! Not quite Lhy Thai, perhaps, but awfully tasty nonetheless.
Alright, I suppose it's time to sign off and enjoy the lullabies from next door as I drift to slumber. I'm not sure what this song is they're singing now. Perhaps you do. It goes..
"... Just take my hand. I'll let you see what you wanna see... (mumble mumble)..(guitar solo)(thank goodness)... (mumble) waiting for a long time.. (mumble).. change the locks.."
There. Some music trivia for you. oh there are also many "oh whoa whoa whoa"s if that helps.
